Won Photography Contest on Viewbug
I'm extremely honored (and happy) to see one of my black and white portraits win the Emerging From Shadows content on Viewbug. Not only is the picture one of my favorites but the judge and Award winning, New York based Pro Photographer, Alan Shapiro made a very nice comment about it.
“This image captures a moments that represents a delightful “universal truth” for me. There is power in the composition and the interaction between subject and prop that is wonderfully reinforced with the dramatic lighting. The negative space allows me to take in the moment without distraction and fully appreciate the thoughts going through the subject’s mind. This image made me smile huge and want to go for a long, winding, high speed drive (albeit in a very fast BMW rather than a Porsche.) No midlife crisis for me. Just a huge standing ovation to all the entrants and most notably to 800ISO for sharing their wonderful images”

Toute première fois que je visite la Bretagne. Première fois que je photographie des paysages en noir et blanc en mode JPG. Première fois que je suis satisfait de mes paramètres noir et blanc. Toutes les photos prises avec le Fujifilm X-T1 (+ XF 16-55mm f/2.8 WR) ou le Fujifilm X100T (+ WCL-X100).

First time ever in Brittany. First time I captured landscapes in black and white using out of camera JPG files. First time I'm happy with my black and white settings. All pictures with the Fujifilm X-T1 (+ XF 16-55mm f/2.8 WR) or the Fujifilm X100T (+ WCL-X100).

Black and White (Green Filter), Sharpness +1, Noise Reduction -2, Highlights +2, Shadows +2
Edition / Edit: Lightroom CC avec / with Neopan 1600, Contrast +11
