I photograph spaces at the moment they become more than structures—when geometry, atmosphere and human traces begin to tell a story.
I’m Patrice, a Franco-German photographer living in Munich. Since 2015, I’ve followed a simple obsession: understanding how light can turn everyday places into something quietly extraordinary.
This is my independent gallery—a slower, more considered home for photographs, visual experiments and honest notes from behind the camera.

THE PRACTICE / 01
Light first. Equipment second.
My work moves between architecture, landscape and portraiture. The subjects change, but the method remains deliberate: observe before composing, simplify without sterilising, and wait for light to reveal the character already present in a place.
Structure
Lines, repetition and proportion give the frame its discipline. Architecture is not simply recorded; it becomes a way of organising attention.
Atmosphere
Colour, shadow, weather and silence decide how a photograph feels. Precision matters, but mood is what stays.
Human trace
Even when no person appears in the frame, I look for evidence of presence—movement, waiting, memory and the small irregularities that keep a space alive.

Tools, not trophies.
The tools change. The point of view should not. I choose equipment for the way it supports a slower, attentive process and for the quality it preserves from capture to print.

Field notes, not specification sheets.
My reviews are written from use: cameras carried through cities, lenses tested against real architecture, and files worked through the same process as my personal photographs. When equipment is loaned, sponsored or purchased privately, I say so. Independence is part of the work.
